The Purpl PRO uses near-infrared spectroscopy to analyse samples. This unit shines near infrared light on the prepared sample and analyses the returned light. Light in near infrared spectrum (just beyond the red light human eyes can see) reacts with molecules react to generate a “molecular fingerprint” that can be used to evaluate concentrations of THC and CBD. The design of the Purpl PRO was calibrated against HPLC measurements from multiple state-certified testing laboratories in the USA to ensure a level of accuracy.
